Hastings Direct holding onto my money!

Using Compare The Market honestly, got me to Hastings Direct. I paid. Then later was told the policy was not right for me. I agreed to cancel the policy which doesn’t start for 3 weeks. Hastings Direct will keep £20 of my initial payment and will not refund the rest until after the policy start date!

I had the same issue. Yes they can charge the £20 fee. 

Bad they keep the money until policy start date. In the end I put a complaint in and they refunded me via cheque as they couldn't process it automatically
