HELP, cannot get MP3 player to work!!

My nephew got an MP3 player from Santa and cannot get it to work. When I connect it into the computer it shows that there is songs on it but it will not play them. He has left the mp3 player, a usb cable and earphones with me and he will be back within the next hour. How do you get it to play the songs?

    Where did these songs come from? Are they protected by DRM? Try ripping your own track to MP3 and see if that plays.

    The name on it is Creative Zen. It is plugged into the computer via the USB cable. I do not know if it has batteries or if it is charged, how do you tell?

    They were already on it. How do you tell if they are protected by DRM?

    The Zen comes with a rechargable battery that is charged or you couldn't see there's files on it ;) What format are the files in? mp3 or wma are usually the only types those players can handle.

    Look online for a manual. Goto the Creative and see if they have any info online.
