Neighbours Ring Door camera facing my door

Its interesting that alot of the responses are that it should be looked on as free security which I understand why people would think this.  However, we are in the same position where a neighbour has put up a ring doorbell that looks directly onto our door which is approx 3m away and not only does it record the comings and goings of anyone visiting our flat but also records any conversations that are being had at our front door.  We have nothing to hide but this feels like a huge invasion of privacy.  As others have said, we have been in touch with the council and their view is that the individual is doing nothing wrong as long as they have signs displaying that they have such a system.  We have also contacted our local Police who came out and seen it and have a different view given the ring doorbell looks straight on to our door and is recording everything.  They advised my neighbour to take it down but they havent done that.

Have a conversation at your door with a friend.  Warn them that the nosey (******) insert your chosen words, will be listening in so be careful what they say.  Keep going in and out of the door so they keep getting alerts.

Childish?  Maybe, but it could also have the desired effect.
