Somewhere in the settings you can block certain usernames. I always stick things on BIN - the auction way of doing things is open to even more abuse. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I've always found the opposite, I have more trouble with BIN than I do with ordinary auctions. With an auction I have on several occasions pulled a bid from someone who has poor feedback ( one recently had a negative rating all negs for non payment!).Acoupkle of months ago I also pulled a bid from someone whose feedback was good but always left a neutral for the seller.
However with BIN it's immediate and there is no control over the winning bidder. On more than one occasion I've had people BIN an item that e mail a day or two later saying it was a mistake so can they back out, or I find I have a winner, as I did recently, who had appalling feedback and within two days was NARU which means I had to relist the item and start all over again.

Ive started to list items on a BIN with immediate Paypal payment, no chance of any auctions being ruined execpt in the rare case of a chargeback.0

HAD A TOTAL NIGHTMARE the last fdew days tryin to sell my 7600 on ebay have now had to relist 5 times each time its been 'biy it now-d' by western union scammers adn the last 2 times they have bidded at auction with zero feedback and raising the bids so high nobody else can bid, then they do not pay, HOW MANY TIMES do i have to relist, it does not let you block those with zero feedback, only -1,-2, -3. i also tried to block foregin bidders but have also just been scammed by uk registered WHY ME??? >:(0

Why dont you just put in your listing that you will only ship to the UK?
Then also just use the auction route and you can cancel any bids that come in from 0 feeback folk.Funky Little Frog0 -
It is almost impossible to stop someone from bidding even if they live in a country that you will not ship to, scammers won't be put off by a line in the auction saying UK only.
Also, as this phone being discussed has a BIN (buy it now) option it would be impossible to remove someones bid as the auction will have been completed as soon as they hit the BIN button and confirm.

For items such as this, I would not bother with a BIN. That way, if someone bids who is outside your shipping area you should be able to cancel their bid. You lose this power with BIN.I'm so sexy it's a wonder my underpants don't explode.0

NOCHEX offer chargeback protection for sellers. It's not very fair on the buyers but I guess you've had enough of being stung.0

I have my first item for sale on ebay and have a paypal account so would like to know if the item sells and I accept payment through paypal how do I stop them withdrawing the money. Is it as simple as putting the money into my own bank account and I can then send the goods happy in the knowledge that they can't then scam me???
Its all a bit dodgy innit?? :-/0 -
Ive started to use PRE APPROVE on my auctions (think its only available if you subscribe to the seller tool) now, so people cant buy it now on the more expensive items like mobiles, theres nothing else to do and it probably deters some people but at the end of the day people who are interested will email you i find, ebays a joke for helping sellers, wish we could just all move to another auction site or just set one up ourselves with stringent seller/buyer checks.0
