I'm not the best person in the world to advise here. But, if I were in your situation, I would send your landlord a short email clearly describing the problem in a concise, factual, matter. And, then if the landlord enquires further, you can send them emails etc. But, start with something short, simple, and unemotive. It might be a good idea to write a draft and post it here.Michy78 said:I totally agree @RHemmings I don't want that they contact my landlord about something is not even aware of . It seems they haven't even read my email as I clearly stated i wanted to get guidance and advice and sent them various pictures .
I want to make a formal complaint about the building manager though as I spoke with Property Redress scheme and they told for them to act i need to write an official complaint to him which is ridiculous because i did it over a year ago and he didn't do any planned actions.
Do you think is best i write to my landlord using all the email trails i can provide with the lack of response from the building manager or shall i just write to him and make him aware that I am dissatisfied about the fact that i get ignored
To specify i am happy with the estate agent but not the building manager who is apparently responsible for resolving the mould
Any advise is highly appreciate it0 -

Hi All,
I hope you can provide a feedback @RHemmings @mexican_dave or anyone else please on the draft letter that i would like to send to my landlord and advise any adjustment or suggestions please ?Dear....,
I hope this email finds you well. I am a tenant in one of your property at ........I am really sorry to contact you directly , I have been raising an issue with mould on one of the slope wall of the bedroom since the 26th November 2023 . After chasing few times , Joe bloggs came to investigate on the 6th December 2023 . He suggested that the mould is due likely to condensation and suggested no solutions beside the fact that i should clean the mould
I have treated the mould at my own expenses with a professional product advised and also used an anti primer stain block as well as professional mould resistant paint which seems to have resolved the issue .
Within only 3 weeks , the mould reappeared and started spreading quickly along the wall again.
I want to also specify that the bedroom is the warmest room in the flat and that that there are no sign of condensation on windows or elsewhere and the room get ventilate during the day as well as most nights.
I strongly believe, i do my own part on taking care of your property at best of my abilitiesAfter asking for a written report and further investigation over the past 6 weeks ,i had no response from Joe Bloggs even after chasing multiples times therefore I would like to ask your assistance in facilitating further investigations considering also that mould can result in structural issues as well as being a concern as it can cause an adverse effect on my health .Just to clarify I only am dissatisfied specifically with Joe Bloggs , the building manager as also on other occasions, he failed to reply to my emails and took no action in regards of other issues raised also by the other residents !Thank you in advance
