How bad would BeFibre be?

Is that your router? Does suggest that a web interface is available. 

Yep that is the router but on mine I don't get any link to continue.

I have BE-fibre and have no problems. The in home installation was carried out by one technician but the pole connection by another. I think you need an internet connection to access the Linksys web interface

Yes that was the answer, needed an internet connection before the web interface became live.

BeFibre now fully working at a reasonable 150Mbps.

Now to try and establish if it is using CGNat or not?

Installation process was fine and switchover was relatively trouble-free. Then there's and issue and BeFibre repeatedly let themselves down.

Speed to router fine, router to devices further than five meters from router are dire. I mean worse that the previous non-fibre supplier.

What's most shocking is there have been numerous emails, contact reports, requests for action and BeFibre are just silent. Try and get hold of them if you have an issue! Weeks and weeks of silence so I now consider contract terminated so DD stops next. The communication about that happening did illicit a response after a few days.. " wireless speeds aren't guaranteed, would you like a trouble-shooting guide?" I know they're not guaranteed but 500mbps at router and ~0-23mbps upstairs???? Utterly useless
