NI Hospice moral dilemna [goes on a bit!]

Options
 This could be posted to NI or Charities Forum, but need to vent.

11th Dec ran out of Xmas cards, so stupidly thought instead of re-ordering from usual charity, it would be good idea to support local one.

Went onto NI Hospice web site, baulked a bit at £4.00 p/p charges [p/p costs for all other on-line small orders this year free or max £2.95], but thought shouldn't be a mean old git as it was charity. Submitted order [and received confirmation].

Comes last posting day for 2nd class and still not arrived, decided to chance my arm and wait a day. Numpty! Still didn't arrive  , so went to local shop centre and purchased required amount. Had to send 1st class too!

 How come most web suppliers can manage 48 hr delivery and they can't even get them out in time for Xmas? I know it's a charity, blah! blah! but they should 'stay out of the playground' if they can't cut it with the big boys. It's definitely not a delayed post problem.

So here we are it's 26th Dec and my moral dilemna is :( do I?:

1] if/when they arrive, keep cards for next year and do nothing else. I couldn't be arsed wasting my time writing a complaint if I'm not after a refund?

2] send them back asking for a full refund + £4.00 return p/p cost [mean old git syndrome again], in the vain hope they might learn a lesson in web business practice?

Can't think of any other way to react - needless to say they won't get any future support from me.

Maybe they did send them out on time but they were delayed by royalmail so not their fault?

have a look at the date stamp on the envelope when it arraives to see if this is the case before making any decisions
    Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j

Keep them for next year..............you'll only feel bad if you return them and complain but I think they do deserve a nicely worded firm letter stating the obvious to them. They are, after all, in the business of selling these cards so the least they can do is get them delivered in time for Christmas.
Thats what I'd do in that situation anyway. Good luck.
