Cigna cancelled my dental policy without telling me

I have been paying for Cigna dental insurance for more than 25 years and for at least 10 have not had a serious claim. Now I have one and they refuse to meet it because they have cancelled my policy without telling me. I now see they stopped taking the direct debit in October.
On calling, they tell me Cigna is leaving the UK market, which is obviously no help to me.
So I post this partly in case others might have blithely assumed they had cover (it used to roll over with no action needed on my part) but also in case anyone thinks there is any mileage in pursuing it, in which case where?

    They don't get good reviews, good luck. A rating of 1.5 out of 5

    "Very few approved dentists - not worth the cost
    Very few approved dentists, the ones I see are chains with bad or not stellar reviews
    If you use non-approved dentists which would be your local dentist, you are looking at 40-50% deductions
    Not worth the cost of cover

    Thanks. Cigna always met my claims in full until the most recent checkup, when they knocked it back a bit. The dentist did warn me that they would not be sticking to Cigna's fees any more. I guess I should have checked what was going on with Cigna.

    It puts you in a bad position because now you have an existing condition which you probably won't be able to insure.

    Worth complaining if they didn't inform you, as you lost the opportunity to arrange alternative insurance before your current problem developed.
