Ebay,sell same item,different quantities
Options

I have a product I wish to sell and want to give buyers the option to purchase different quantities, say 5,10 or 20 just as an example.
How are the fees charged ? Does it cost me more to do it that way or should I just list as separate items ?

You can't have duplicate BIN listings so you need one listing with a QTY of say 100 and then buyers can add however many they want to the basket (with multi-buy, vouchers or order volume discounts applied if you wish).
If you want to sort of sell in a pack of 5, 10, etc then in theory you can have more than one listing but driving sales through a single listing will give you better search placement, assuming you get sales, so you can add variations to a single listing with the option of pack size then set a price and available QTY for each option. (i.e pack of 5 at £4.99 with 20 available, pack of 10 at £9.49 with 15 available, pack of 50 at £39.99 with 10 available).
You can still add multi-buy, vouchers or order volume discounts if you wish, free postage might be simpler but you can set up with charged P&P and each extra item at £x but that is across the listing rather than each option.
You can also either just add images as normal or set an image to each option which shows as the buyer picks each option from the drop down menu (which helps make it clear exactly what they are getting for each option).
Probably sounds complicated above but is pretty simple to set up.
Forgot to add, fees are as normal (FVF + fixed fee), if someone buys 2 of something (or something from 2 options) and pays together you save by only paying 1 fixed fee.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces4 -

I'm having trouble with the listing.
I have 24 items and I want to sell them in multiples of 6,so 6 at 1 price,12 at a different price and so on.
But the option is only to offer a percentage discount for multiple buys
Am I doing it wrong?
Some googling suggests private sellers can't do it0 -

You need to set up a variation listing
Use the option to "add variations"
I don't think you can get the option on the app, you need to use a laptop/pc
Also not all categories support variations1 -
I s on my listing page in my private account. I can use variations to add both amounts and price differences.
