And if that happens, a few months later, DCB Legal will discontinue!  Easy peasy if you get a claim.  Easier than POPLA.

No risk. No cost. No hearing. All over!
I'm not sure what DCB Legal is, but i'm leaving all that as a 'cross that bridge if i come to it'.

So why is it recommend that people use POPLA if it just causes more problems? Wouldn't it be better for everyone to skip POPLA and make a small claim? Also just checking, wouldn't a small claim mean my parents would have to pay the charge so that they can get the money back?

PoPLA is not independent. Sometimes appealing to them can be useful, but losing at PoPLA can embolden a PPC. Sometimes a judge can be convinced it is independent and, and believe PPCs are fine upstanding and honest companies.

PoPLA will ignore mitigating circumstances and certain laws like the Equality Act 2010, or the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Some PoPLA assessors have trouble counting to fourteen.
The judge in a court is truly independent and will decide on all facts, not just the ones that support the PPC.

In any case, a PoPLA appeal is not binding on the motorist, so win or lose, there is no requirement to pay.

DCB Legal (not to be confused with the powerless DCB Limited) is a company of robo-claim solicitors that treat parking cases like a conveyor belt money-making scheme.

A defendant is not required to pay to attend court, only the claimant has to pay. The defendant would only have to pay anything if the judge said so after hearing the case.

Clearly not. They never pay anything.

No-one is being told to make a small claim.  Why would you sue the parking firm?  Please read the second post of the NEWBIES thread as this is so easy to kill off for good, once DCB Legal get their slippery paws on it.

Ah, obviously had a bit a confusion there, understood now. So i'm guessing the DCB Legal LBC will most likely be the next letter they'd receive? GroupNexus have now sent 3 PCNs

Is that three separate PCNs for the same parking event or three PCNs for three separate parking events?

No you'll get wild (red bold text) £170 demands from third parties next. PLEASE don't tell us about those as I literally beg in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.  We need our time saved for stages that need action.

Thanks for all your help, i really appreciate. I would be lost without you lot, as with many other visitors to the forum.
