Another vote for the Dell Outlet ( for Dell machines obviously) or CEX for used or Amazon Warehouse.

I don't really trust second-hand, though, in case they breakdown. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting it resolved with the retailer/seller. Can anyone swear by them as a way of saving money and getting a good deal?

CEX have physical shops. So it is easy to take things back. I’ve had a full refund on a ps3 I had for 18 months because it stopped working.nachtvlinders said:I don't really trust second-hand, though, in case they breakdown. You won't have the hassle of getting it resolved by a retailer/seller cause it won't have a warranty, you will have that hassle if you buy new however!
Second hand units are generally pretty reliable due to them being proven units to someone else

Every used laptop I've bought (and I've bought quite a few for myself, friends and family) came with a warranty.cerebus said:

How do you guarantee secondhand machines don't come with refractory kernel-resident rootkits, other malware and hardware 'tweaks'?SurferDan said:
