Hi, I wonderif I am still able to claim given that the finance Provider is no longer trading?
Also, is there a limit to how far back you are able to claim for? My agreement dates to 2005.

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Hi, thanks for the replies. I realise this is on a more general thread and I wasn't clear. I am looking specifically at reclaiming mis sold car finanace0

Was the provider also the seller? If the seller no longer exists, there is no one to send your mis-selling complaint to0

Currently, all complaints are on hold and don't need to be actioned until the FCA has decided what to do. Normally, the seller (car dealer) would be the one to complain to but, in this case, the lenders are likely to be on the hook as well. There are timebars as well but until we know what the FCA review says, you need to wait.
The FCA could force all the lenders that did it to be pro-active rather than rely on people complaining.
So, its all up in the air at the moment. So, stick a note in your diary for later in the year. The FCA review is scheduled to be completed at the end of September 2024. So a diary note for early October should do fine.

Watch Martin Lewis TV show on ITV player from last night, he suggests finding out and registering a complaint now. There is a section on the main website but he did say if the finance company no longer exist due to insolvency or similar its not worth bothering. Martin suggest its for agreements igned/started 2007 to Jan 20021"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
