    Clear your history and cache.

When does it change when you get to co then does it add m?

I've cleared both - no difference
And my IP location is correct - in UK
It changes as I actually type co - it adds an M !!
    This is really weird
    Just keep typing.

    I can't - it sticks at com

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

Have you tried another browser to see if you can type in the whole thing there? I don't have any issue in Firefox but I don't use a VPN and I'd suspect that is where the OP's issue lies.

As you type it in and it starts to auto complete, you should see it below where you are typing. If you move the cursor over that then you should then see a cross to the right to delete that auto complete entry.

Basically, you have types the bbc.com entry in before and it has remembered it for auto complete and you need to delete it.

I'm sitting under a picture of a black panther in my living room
I'm in a reasonably comfortable chair but need more leg support

  • Is this issue, the com v co.uk one not the lack of adequate leg support, ongoing?

    This is now really weird

I tried EDGE or CHROME rather than my normal FIREFOX browser and straight away – as soon as I type WWW.BBC.CO.UK – it changes to .COM – So it can’t be any setting on my laptop – it must be something done by BBC ?

Plus when I go deeper into the website.. eg) https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/questions it displays that page as .co.uk with no problems on any browser

Unlikely as then it would be happening to everyone.

Only happens if I am using a VPN to have my location set to somewhere other than the UK
