BBC Website

Options
I can no longer select BBC.CO.UK - When I type this, it changes to BBC.COM
Any idea why and any fix ?

  • Does this happen before you hit enter or are you typing co.uk and being taking to a com site?
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

  • When you say BBC.COM, do you mean that you are not getting the UK version (e.g. news, iPlayer, etc.)? If so, you might be using VPN or at least the internet provider is somehow redirecting your traffic.

The BBC thinks you are not in the UK so switches to an "international" version.

As I type the address - it changes without me pressing ENTER

I use Norton VPN - But even turning this off makes no difference

    Clear your history and cache.

When does it change when you get to co then does it add m?

I've cleared both - no difference
And my IP location is correct - in UK
It changes as I actually type co - it adds an M !!
    This is really weird

Has the com version been bookmarked or favourited at some point?

Which browser?  You may have auto complete turned on

I've just typed bbc.co.uk in the address bar (using Chrome), and nothing changed.
