Delayed Flight caused loss of access to Hotel -

Just back from Ski trip with a delayed outbound flight by 24 hour.
Crystal have already confirmed pro-rated refund of Ski hire and Lift ticket etc and £100 credit towards another crystal holiday pp.

Hotel was incredibly luxurious. (read expensive)

How can I get a pro-rated refund for the day we could not access our hotel?
Your thoughts gratefully received.

    Insurance?

    Was the hotel booked as a package/through an ABTA/ATOL registered travel agent, or did you book separate components. Is Crystal a TA?

    It was a crystal holiday end to end.
    We are claiming against the airline for the travel delay and do i assume we have to complain to crystal to get compensation before we go to the insurance?

    If booked as a package I believe the Package Travel Regulations state they would have to give a pro-rata refund of the hotel as well if the holiday is shortened. Strange they've done it for the ski elements but not the hotel.
