Just to add to the above , fat32 can only be formatted in windows upto 32gb in flashdrive size (there are ways around this)

Chances are 4 out of the 5 flash drives you have tried are all bigger than 32gb and are formatted to exfat , is the one you have tried that works 32gb in size or smaller ?
    All over 64gb

So I'm obviously not getting the Fat or Fat32 options.  So I'm at a loss as to what to do.

    Download Rufus - https://rufus.ie/en/.

That utility can format drives larger than 32GB as FAT32.

As above use rufus, that's how I do it as my TV only recognises 32gb and lower usb sticks in my telly unless I change them to fat32

There's instructions on how to do it using rufus on Google, from memory,  select drive, select non bootable in the drop down menu, change to fat32 , then click start

Windows will not give you an option to format in anything else other than ntfs and exfat on anything larger than 32gb,  rufus is the way to go

If you right click any of your 64gb sticks and select properties  you will probably find they are all exfat

Just to point out that the maximum file size for FAT32 is 4Gb which might limit the recordings you can use.

Just an update.  Rufus worked on the 64gb drive which now plays images on my TV.

Will have a go on the 128gb flash drive later!
