JustALass said:So yesterday wasn’t a NSD as planned however I did buy my sons aged 4/5 wardrobe on v*nted so I’m happy I have that sorted and will save me so much money in the long run. £38 for a bundle of 86 items, just pyjamas to buy but won’t need them for a little while yet.NSD today so that’s 10 for the month.I haven’t gambled for 6 days which is amazing and only twice this month. I sat last night and went through last years bank statements.Crikey. Wake up call!Last January I spent £511 on slots. I only lost £46.40 however I could have lost a lot more so I need to keep that in mind when I am tempted to ‘just have 20 quid’.
My son is only 11 months old but I've been picking up clothes from size 1 year up to 4 years when I've seen them on my local freebies board XD£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0 -
@kiss_me_now9 it’s great having a look around on the various sites. Clothes are usually in fairly good condition as well due them barely getting any wear!21/02/24

Savings should be £40 more but waiting for a refund to hit my account to move that over so will have to go on for February. Pretty pleased with that!February aims:

they will hopefully be the minimums!I’m gonna get a monzo account opened up so I can use pots. I’ve said I want 2k by the end of the year but realistically I’ll be dipping in and out of that for various things so would like to have pots in place to properly budget for car/holidays/Christmas etc so hopefully next year it will all be in pots and can have budgets ready for things I need and also savings and an emergency fund in place, and of course no overdraft! What a learning curve all this is proving to be!21/02/24

First NSD of the month today. Will be spending tomorrow as its husbands birthday next week so need to get a few bits.Struggling with my grief at the moment which would usually lead me to gambling but I’ve swerved it so far. Most of my regular sites are on ‘cool off periods’ and I intend to delete most of the accounts when they expire.I think I may look in to grief counselling my workplace offers.21/02/24

Spent a bit today but all planned. Bills for the month all out apart from my overdraft charges next week.Husbands birthday presents all sorted and managed to swap my NatWest rewards for a gift card for my workplace so that will pay for the odd drink when I fancy one.I’ve also opened my monzo account and I’m waiting for my transfer of my savings to go in so I can set pots up.One ‘cool off’ came up on a slots site so that account has been closed. Can tell it’s no longer January - feeling slightly positive!overdraft £50/£930 5.4%

Another NSD today so 2/12 for the month. Also went on my treadmill this morning as I need to restart my training. I loved running last year but couldn’t continue when life fell apart so I’m hoping this is the start of me getting that back on track!21/02/24

Problem is I’ll have to get up before work to do it. Hmm let’s see. Working tomorrow and have the voucher so hopefully a NSD. My savings should hit my Monzo account as well so I can get that organised.21/02/24

I think you should take the grief counselling if they offer it.
Hope you're feeling better.Debt Free - 4th June 20250 -
Thanks Dolly. I’m gonna have to I think.Tiring day today. Work then a health issue for mum so with her all day. Beyond tired now but happy to report Februarys 5th NSD.I’ll be moving money out my account tomorrow as it’s payday Thursday so can pop some off the overdraft and in to the savings. Not much in the way of bills due next week either so may do a small early transfer for the week. We will see!21/02/24

Driving lesson in the snow this morning! Not much fun lol. NSD (lessons prepaid). That’s 6 so far this month. Really motivating having a target for them. Nice fun competition with myself!A healthy amount in my current account, was gonna do a transfer but I think I’ll leave it in to save getting more interest and move it after the weekend. Depends how much temptation it causes.Sold a couple of my stepdads things on V*nted today. Very easy to sell on there, might see what else I can sell. Money for those items sold will either go to my son or towards the memory bears I want. I’ll decide that at a later date.21/02/24
