Sky Broadband and Sky Refer a Friend + Install times

I'm a Sky TV customer and am considering referring my mum to Sky as she needs a new Broadband deal.

Has anyone used this before for Sky Broadband and do they typically honour the referral? Seeing some of the customer service nightmare stories from Sky recently is spooking me a bit.
ALSO... I know Sky get Openreach to do the initial part of a Full Fibre install.. but does anyone know how long it then takes for the second part - cabling into the house - to then happen?
Cheers

The install is done completely by Openrrach, they will install their ONT inside the property and that's it.1

oh really? Had seen some reports suggesting its a 2 stage process, and that Sky were using their former dish engineers to finish the install - a kind of retraining effort.littleboo said:The install is done completely by Openrrach, they will install their ONT inside the property and that's it.0 -
ok, well possibly then. It does sound like a messy way of doing things in terms of demarcation if there is a problem0
