DHL did not pick up parcel at agreed time and I lost work as a consequence

I have had a parcel collection booked for before 1130am today and they have not been. It's only just 20 minutes late but I had work booked for the afternoon from 12 onwards, and as a consequence, I have had to cancel this agreed work, which sets me back around £450 (pre-tax). This collection was booked as Emergency Situation(CR) 12:00 Premium(YK) service, with collection between 930-1130am, and cost exceeding £100. For context, the parcel is very important and has to be collected today. With this cost you would expect them to collect on time, arrive on a white horse and offer me a foot massage.

What recourse do I have? I am very much miffed by this.

Unless someone's aware of criteria of the specific service you used then you need to check the T&C's of your agreement - I can't see them covering consequential losses of £450 on a £100 service though ?

I would also look @ the T/C given the current weather that may be covered as force majeure.

I am afraid that as the delivery was booked by the embassy of the country I am originally from, I can't find the T&Cs. I can't find any information on this specific type of emergency delivery on their website. It feels a bit wrong that they can sell a service like this but then not have any recourse if it is delayed. They are still not here, and it's an hour's delay now.

Sorry I had the cost wrong - it was £100+ per parcel and there were two parcels. They just picked them up at 1345.

I see that it has been resolved now but as you had no contract with the courier then you wouldn't have been able to claim anything.

It hasn't been resolved as I lost £450 for this afternoon's work.

Ok it's not been resolved but you had no contract with the courier so you have no recourse with them.
