Not before issues that might seriously damage people's health , perhaps kill, (including young kids) like asbestos. Obvs...0

An asbestos garage roof is unlikely to kill any children unless it's in a poor state to start with. The general advice is to leave asbestos containing materials in situ if they are in good condition and aren't a significant risk - the ceiling/roof of a garage being exactly that (Unless the kids starting climbing on it and licking it like an ice cream).0

No - not in this instance. The seller needs to accurately and honestly answer any questions, but that does not include speculation, and indeed speculation is incredibly unhelpful in the process. Hyperbole of the "bUt iT MIghT KilL SomEOnE!" is pointless. Allowing that IIRC without looking all the way back through this question has already been comprehensively answered, I'm not quite sure why it needs to go back round in circles again.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

If known, state so truthfully.
If don't know, well, you don't know. Shouldn't speculate.
Up to the buyer to then do due diligence and decide what they're alright with or not.0 -

Obvs...Given the latency of asbestos-related disease (typically a minimum of 15 years between exposure and onset) the answer to your question is probably "not many".However the better question to ask is how many people die from an asbestos-related disease as a result of exposure to asbestos as a child. The answer to that seems to be "we don't know, but we* are starting to think about it"* "We" being the government. For example -Part of the problem is the delay between exposure and disease means we don't really have a full picture of what is causing people to die from asbestos-related causes. By the time someone realises they have an illness that is going to kill them, they have probably forgotten about dad's old garage with its asbestos cement roof, and/or they have had other exposures (like in the school science lab) that may seem (to them) the more probable cause. The one thing we do know is there is no 'safe' asbestos.0

Interesting wrestle back and forth here's my 2p
"Unknown" as the seller has not had any asbestos report so leave it as unknown.1 -
I see no reason to draw anyone's attention to the potential dangers of asbestos in the roof any more than you would to the fact there is glass in the windows or live mains cables in the walls.1
