Complain to the landowner because this treatment of consumers is not acceptable.  But DO NOT imply who was driving in any appeal or complaint.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Honestly its a joke. Waste of time having to do this. Thanks for your advice, how would I go about complaining to the landowner ?
  • Just wanted to say thanks to everyone - got a fine notice from Gatwick for forgetting the drop off charge. Sent an email using the template here and received confirmation a couple of weeks later that the charge was dropped. £60 saved!

  • Hi, what wording should I use if I am the driver and not the registered keeper? The car is a lease/contract hire so they will send the fine on to me. I completely forgot to pay when my husband dropped my parents at Heathrow on Tuesday. I went to do it but obviously it’s too late!

You aren't the driver though. You just said you weren't.

You will be using the lease/hire car appeal in the NEWBIES thread but only when you get your own NTH in the post. Are you sure your lease firm won't just pay it? You must check.

  • I’m not the driver but the contract is in my name. The company wont pay it they will write and give authorization for the company to speak directly to me, I’ve just had a PCN from Oxford council for doing a prohibited turn. Had no idea! Don’t live in the area and was trying to get MIL to a hospital appointment. Grrr

Which company is which? It is confusing! The lease company should transfer liability to the hirer, who should then receive a NTH in their name, then the hirer appeals as hirer not driver using one of the suggestion to be found in this thread.
