Group thread: Heathrow Gatwick Manchester & other Airport drop-off PCNs - easy: how to appeal & win

ducatiross said:Morning! My business has received a 'Parking Charge Notice to Hirer' from NCP for a non-paid drop off fee at Gatwick Airport. It was originally sent to the car lease company who then passed the details of my business so they resent to us.
I would appreciate a little help if possible please.
It is addressed to the business name. Do I still use the same template above even though I am not the keeper? Am I best to do the appeal online or by post? Do I give my name in the appeal or continue to use just the name of the business (I am the MD). I understand not to give any information about the driver.
Many thanks!0 -
Use the company name as the appellant, not a person. Yes just change words to make sense 'hirer company' is what I'd put, and add a sentence pointing out it is impossible for a company to be 'the driver' so NCP has no case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello folks
I dropped off my gf at Heathrow T5 a week or so ago. My gf noticed a charge sign but I was so preoccupied by "navigating through a busy airport before flight leaves" stress, that it didn't register in my mind.
Of course I forgot to pay within the time limit.
The PCN just landed on my doormat yesterday detailing my drive-through. I barely stopped to drop off my gf. The PCN shows an entry time of 9.22am and an exit time of 9.26am.
But, of course, charged I have been.
Obviously I should've paid straight away but, as others have said, this whole machine is pretty disgusting.
I just wanted to double check that the appeal template on this thread is still applicable?
I haven't been to the appeal page yet, but I just pretty much copy that whole text in?
Is there anything I should be aware of?
Thanks so much folks!

Yes use the one here on this thread, and obviously don't tick 'driver'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Great - thankyou!
On the first page of the appeal process - labelled 'Grounds' - it says I must 'Click the reason for your challenge', should I choose 'Other'? I guess that is the option that makes the most sense in my circumstance but I want to be sure - I don't want to screw up this process!
Thanks
