APCOA Parking Charge - use the template, cancellation by return (or thereabouts). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Another success, this one for Gatwick South drop-off.On first acquaintance, the signage on the short, three-lane stretch of road on the approach to the drop-off area is borderline overwhelming, with too much to take in and very little time for a driver to identify the correct lane and move into it safely. So I didn't feel like being punished for a genuine mistake…I appealed via the link on the back of the letter from NCP.I ticked the box to identify as the car's keeper, not the driver. (Important!)I then used the wording from the first post in this thread, from "I appeal as keeper" to "expunge my personal data from your records.", replacing the double "the the" in point 1 with a single "the", and changing "APCOA" to "NCP" in point 3 (because the letter came from NCP).I heard back from NCP the very next day via email: "Thank you for taking the time to contact us in regards to this notice. Based on the information provided, this notice has been cancelled and no further action is required."Thanks, @troublemaker22 and MSE. Not only for the saved money, but also on a point of principle!2

Hi, used the standard text at the start of this thread and it has worked for Manchester airport. Took about 3 weeks for them to reply but here is the reply attached.
Many thanks for your help, it is very much appreciated3 -
Just to confirm this worked at LHR T5 Drop off. Emailed APCOA using the template on 10JUN - recd notice of cancellation today, 09JUL.
"Thank you for your letter received on 10 June 2025 regarding the above Parking Charge Notice.Having considered the circumstances, we have cancelled the Parking Charge Notice on this occasion. We would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused. Please retain this letter as proof of cancellation, should you need it in the future."
Thank you to all here for your help and advice.5 -
Hi all, just reporting another win against a drop off fine at Gatwick using the template.
A huge thank you to the people/person that put the appeal template together. It worked and their response was swift
