What would be your top 3 phones when you require a quality camera.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

Just watched a video from MKBHD where he compared cameras and got his viewers to vote and the top three were all Google Pixels.Much is subjective though and it depends on how much you want to spend and what type of pictures you take and what you want to do with them.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1

Nikon, Canon, even Sony. If you want real quality, you don't want a phone.

If I require a quality camera, I would not buy a phone.
Nor would I buy a phone with a camera built in.
I would buy a quality camera from a specialist retailer.0 -

Most of the independent and crowd sourced test usually come out as:
1. Google Pixel Pro 8
2. Apple iPhnone Pro 15
3. Samsung Galaxy S23 - Although S24 just came out
4. OnePlus 122 -
The cameras on phones are the equivalent of a small digital compact camera, fine for the snapshots that many/most people take.However if you want to be more serious about the photos you take then a quality camera from a camera maker is what you want/need.You don't see professional photographers or even newspaper photographers using their phones - unless they don't have their 'real' cameras with them.0

I use Nokia phones as they have Zeiss lenses. I do have a digital Pentax SLR as well. The phone is something I carry all the time and it's great for spur of the moment shots.2

Thank you to the few who actually answered my question. I really don’t need to be told how great a real camera is over a phone. I took photos on 35mm and medium format for over 30 years. And I can also say, I have seen photos taken on camera phones that are stunning. Just wanted to see what was available.

Nothing wrong, per se, with a phone having a camera built in. Still not what I'd go for if I wanted a quality camera.0
