Morning everyone
So sorry to hear your news Nan x
Very frosty here but the sun is shining - yesterday turned out to be lovely though freezing and I walked down to pick little one up from school. I had tea with her and DD and then had a lift back up home.
Today I have a couple of jobs to do then will get the bus down to work after 11.
I have a vivid memory of going to school in snow that was up to my knees with my dad walking in front in his wellies to make a track for us - it must have been bad if he wasn't at work.
Wickedlady - I wish we had one of those larders here, I'd certainly use it.
Snoozer - your story made me smile - at least he waited at the top!
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Good morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Sorry to hear your news @nannywindow - I hope they can come up with a plan of treatment for you. Sending love xx
Ooh it’s a bit parky out this morning. Hope everyone on here is managing to stay warm and safe x Got into the office to find one solitary teabag left in the box, so used it then put my coat and hat back on and went to Sainsbobs. At least they left one teabag for me – could’ve been worse!
The ostrich steaks from A!di were very tasty. A very tender lean red meat with a BBQ glaze in a pack of 2 for £3.75 so not too bad. Tonight we have pie using leftover turkey and gammon from Christmas – I knocked it up last night whilst cooking. We will have it with sprouts, broccoli and mash mmmmm real comfort food.
Glad all went well with your appointment @camelot1001 x
Sorry the weather is causing mayhem for the family @TravellingAbuela – never nice being berated for being late when you’ve done your level best to get in on time!! Good idea to pace yourself with the indoor jobs and make the most of being stuck in.
Glad you will see Rob today @RedRuby1231 – I expect he has missed your company and care x
Enjoy your baby cuddles @WickedLady4 x
Annoying about the car damage @snoozer!
Have a good day everyone

Morning everyone Nanny what horrible news I hope the treatment helps you I really can’t moan now but I will just a little bit when I got in from work last night I felt like had done ten rounds with Frank Bruno I hurt from the tip of my ears to the tip of my toes but a couple of paracetamol and a long hot soak in the bath and I’m sorted feel much better the bosses wife said it’s called getting old I told her it’s called getting cold I have worked in a scarf fingerless gloves and a coat all week it’s absolutely perishing in there big old building no heating. Taff I might have to play on it see if I can get out of running this weekend I don’t think I can anyway but we will see how I feel on Saturday. It’s absolutely freezing here and still a lot of ice around TA I also remember walking to school and back in deep snow I think I liked it then how times change. Coxy you will have to tell us what you thought of the steaks I would definitely try them then again I will eat anything. Just finished a cleaning job so a bowl of soup to warm me up and then off to work it’s nearly Friday. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing6

Afternoon all, yes it was -5 here when I got up, risen to a balmy 1 now.We have the log burner on so it's very warm in the kitchen/diner.Nan, what horrible news, I'm really sorry, many hugs coming your way xIzzy your fall sounded nasty, and the cold at work won't help!Glad Rob is feeling better RR.Needless to say the menfolk aren't working due to snow and ice, but DS2 did go and look at a job first thing, then came here to price up with DH. Inside work
It's for an old friend of mine whose DD was in the same class at primary as DS2
I hope she wants it doing, it would fill a gap in before they start a big extension in Feb.No footie training tonight due to snow, so he is taking him for a haircut instead!
@Coxy11 , might have to have a trip to Ald i and try those steaksDH is out for a pizza tonight at the pub, he's picking up our friend who has Parkinsons and had an op before Xmas so hasn't been out since, and will also pick the other friend up too.Time for feet up with my kindle now I think, quite a busy morning unpacking the sm delivery, washing , then went for a long walk with my yaktrax on so I wouldn't slip in the snow and ice, it is a beautiful day.Hugs to anyone who wants one, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good afternoon everyone. Haven't posted for a couple of days as I am helping with my SIL who is not too well at the moment. Very cold here again today, yesterday all my gates were frozen so I had to de-ice the locks to leave the premises.
So sorry to hear your news nanny window, I do hope a treatment plan is put in place soon.
Best wishes to the poorlies and those with problems
Take care xx8 -
Another one sending hugs to Nan, it's just rotten so I hope that the treatment offered is great. xxBeen to my pool class and really enjoyed it but I'm now coughing more again so hope that it wasn't a bad idea to go, perhaps it'll fade. There's been two very brief flurries of snow, nothing much at all although the postwoman told me that just across the water there's lying snow. My fingers are still crossed.I've had my soup with a ham and egg roll, tomorrow I will go shopping for more veggies.5
