Amazon Prime Coincidence?

It is 10:54 on the 17th Jan. My Prime runs out on the 18th Jan and because of the adverts they will now include with Prime I'm not resubbing (also because Prime is no longer next day, its normally a 2 day wait now).
At just after 9pm I attempted to order an item via Prime to be delivered to the locker over the road which was showing as available, same with the other locker I use that is 5min drive away. As I picked them, both now claim they are full. Try again, both show as available, go to check out, both claim they are full.
Could this possibly be because my Prime is about to expire and being petty Amazon don't want to allow this delivery to go ahead to a locker on a Prime sub that will expire as they deliver it?

Have you tried a different locker that's less convenient? Just to see what it says? Or select 'pick up from a store' - your local co-op or something? When I cancelled my 3 month prime for a £1 offer - I ordered something the on the night of expiry at about 11.30pm, and it all went through ok - although that was for home delivery. It might just be a glitch, or they are full.1

I'm joining you on cancelling. The whole package no longer feels great, we dont watch prime (only the toddler does periodically, as he likes fireman sam), especially since they appear unable to explain how much and when the adverts will appear (before, during, etc).
I think amazon have missed a trick a bit here - my wife and I buy more than we should from them, because of prime makes it too easy with free delivery. So it got us thinking how much we'll possibly save.
Biggest thing I've also noticed - stuff often takes 3+ days now, because it's coming from the EU. Obvious why that is, but in any case, its now quicker to pop to the shops (probably a good thing)

Debt free - finally finished paying off £20k + Interest.1 -
No, I'm not a Prime member, order all the time - I get free delivery as I ensure my total meets the minimum - I have items in my wishlist ready (DVD's/Games). I have no urgency for next day, and items come before the expected date - end up statying there for a day or 2.
Most likely they can't deliver to the locker, done it many times to myself, 3 items ordered, 2 can and 1 cannot (even does not state not eligible) - but just says full.
Remember 1 time, I was trying to order an item, kept saying full for days for 2 local ones, tried a different item no issue, tried first item again and said full.
As for ads, anything like ITV player, Now and Freeve, sorted as can watch a programme/film with no interpuration - run the adverts first.1 -
Our Prime ran out on the 16th but had no issues ordering up to the last minute even with same day delivery in the morning and next day delivery at night.
I don't use lockers so don't know how they work... maybe they appear available for returns but can't be booked for deliveries because they are already earmarked for someone elses' delivery? Clearly returns are different as the courier will take the item out and replace it with the delivery when it comes to it.0 -
I've tried another locker but same issue. I think it might just be a conicidence. We use the lockers a lot in case we're not in or don't want to answer the door. Benifit of the locker is one appeared a year or so ago over the road so its easy to pick up. I'll give it a few more days and see if they become available again.

The locker is my default address, so much easier and welcome addition - much better than leaving items with random neighbours.1 -
I only tried a locker once - I got the notification and went there, but it wouldn't open for me; I called Amazon and they re-did the order with home delivery.I never tried a locker delivery again.0

I can order items at 9.30pm and get them delivered the next morning.1

Its hit a miss. I've been ordering over the years and regularly they don't turn up next day. I did start asking for refunds when it was happening, the ones where it was sold by Amazon so not a 3rd party. They'd give me a small discount. Was happening too often for me to keep requesting and they also started saying "its not guaranteed" even though in the contract it said it was.
