Spring parking Ltd/DCB legal? Is this genuine

I've received a letter this morning 17/01/2023 regarding a pcn I was told to ignore by landowners at the time because I was delivering to the pub and a solicitors as a DPD local driver and came back to some guy taking pictures and pointing out signs on wasteland car park.
I don't have the dates or the times but was well over 3 years ago.
I've ignored letters and just left it then this appears?
I've not been summoned to court and I've not received a claims form.
Do I have to go court at anytime and plead my case I could probably get a letter from the pub as I worked as a doorman at weekends there.
Any advice would be appreciated especially to the validity of the letter and what it means.
I'm now unemployed and on ESA due to heart problems.

It looks genuine to me, buty I'm no expert in court matters.
By ignoring the PCN, Spring Parking appear to have taken you to court, you have lost, received a default judgment, and you have now been ordered to pay. If you don't pay within 30 days you will get a CCJ and the risk of court appointed bailiffs arriving at your property to seize goods.

I've had no notice of any court proceedings or claims form and if your not an expert could I have an expert give me some real expert advice0

I'm the legal keeper of the vehicle and was not the driver just to be clear! So who have they actually taken to court? No D.O.B Just legal keeper details and if permission from the Alfred pub and the solicitor (SHL solicitors) was fourth coming then where is the breach of contract I never entered?0

The important thing is where did the Claim form go in December? That letter you have is genuine and the court believes you didn't defend a claim.
There are two choices:
- you pay in full in one go and there's no CCJ as long as you do that within 30 days of CCJ,
or
- you ring the CNBC to ask the following. Takes 2 hours to get through so stay on the phone and RECORD THE CALL ON ANOTHER PHONE:
(a) where was the claim sent?
(b) was it sent 1st class or 2nd class?
(c) ask the clerk to email you a copy of the 'Particulars of Claim'
then come back here once you have all that but it MUST be this week as you are required to act promptly if you wish to apply to set aside the CCJ instead of pay it.
If you choose that route, it costs a £275 court fee and requires a hearing of your application; in the meantime the CCJ is not frozen so your credit rating is ruined until such time as the Judge might agree to set it aside & allow you to then defend.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Basically I'm screwed !! Either way I lose I ain't paying into the legal system for a hearing I should have had in the first place! I certainly didn't receive a claim form I believe that form wasn't sent to me by either the kangaroo court or these people from DCB legal so options are limited though I'm ot to far away from DCB legal so I expect I'll drop in to see them tomorrow and ask a few questions before I consider paying anything and as for spring parking 😊 it's going to cost them month after month for a while.0

Seems like DCB legal are not actually sending out the claims form and making out that the person they should be sending too don't send it back thus judge thinks its not being contested and the money making scheme gets them there cash which can't be disputed so who do I complain too and have my files investigated legally which ombudsman would I use?0

As I said, you can apply to set aside the CCJ. And you can complain to the CNBC. I seem to recall that @63realfan might have had a case like this last year.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The application to set aside a CCJ is money I don't have.
I've sent a complaint to the SRA and I'm going to follow up with ombudsman.
I never received a claim form and reading the reviews of DCB legal it looks like it's a common practice.
I'll pay this outfit the money and expect the CCJ to be removed but again the reviews are horrendous and not concluded.0 -
You can't complain to the SRA. The claim was posted by the CNBC not the solicitor.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
