just remember that soul cal / crafted / republic are their own brands ..which are really on par with primark quality wise (ie not that hot) - if the t shirts - knits are around a fiver and the jeans around a tenner than theyre bargains otherwise youd be better should shopping around .0 -
i just bought about 20 pounds worth of clothes at republic's online store annd because i got similar styles of clothes at a cheaper price elsewhere, i emailed republic webteam to send me a freepost label so that i can get my full refund asap.
as consumer, under the Distance Selling Regulations EU customers u have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase and get a full refund when u return the cancelled items to the company.
however, Republic webteam has not replied my emails (i sent out 3 emails!!!) at all concerning giving me the freepost returns label. well, they are really quick at confirming order and delivery and charging your money, but when it comes to refund, they are so reluctant! i am so unhappy with this company:(0 -

I'd call them asap as terms say 14 days to return to them!0 -
thanks, i just emailed them again and hopefully they will post me the returns label asap. if they still don't reply me by tomorrow, i will be really really really disappointed in this company.
about the situation: i emailed them to request a freepost returns label more than 24 hours ago and still they have not replied. they just gave me a feeling of reluctance to refund. on the other hand, inquiries about delivery or order status are quickly answered, usually within 4-6 hours. is it their company policy to let those who want to return their products to wait???0 -

There is the possibility the do not reply to the request and simply send out the label...even m&s do that, mad I know!
If your concerned. I defintely call and vent!0 -
If you have a nearby store they can be retured there, I have done this before. P.S I think their own brand , Soul Cal, Cafted etc are really good quality never had a problem.
Don't ask me, Im SKINT0 -

i wouldnt go as far as being really good, but they will last as long as any primark product and are on par with that.
all that im saying that the sales technique of mixing in high value branded products with own brand in the clothing trade is quite common and that such marketing ploy can mislead some to believe that the products are on par. let me asure you that they are not in this case.0 -

...and you have 4 pairs of Primark jeans also do you, in order that you can compare both types?
Whether you like to believe it or not, Republic, just like Primark, are having their jeans churned out by people in sweathsops in Taiwan. When you buy Ted Baker jeans don't be mistaken into thinking that the said Mr Baker is shacked up with a Singer sewing machine, stitching jeans for those who care to pay his ludicrous prices. No, quite the reverse, Mr Baker also gets them made in Taiwan and creams off a heftier profit for himself than Mr Primark.
When you buy Versace or Ted Baker etc, you're buying into a dream, and clever Mr Baker and co realise this. And sometimes dreams are much more expensive than they need or ought to be.
The stark truth is that there's little to choose between the two quality-wise. Arguably, Primark will often be of a much better quality than its designer counterpart.0 -

not so long ago they did a quality comparison on the telly between mid priced branded and primark and the conclusion they cam to was that primark was in fact a better buy. with some high end denims what youre paying for is the cut and design for instance one of the best fits for women is produced by pepe, with products from republic youre getting primark -ish product trying to be passed off as g-star etc.0
