Allowing a small dog at my rental property?

The whole thread is a bit strange; in the first post it was a ground floor flat but 24 hours later it had transformed into a 1st floor flat - it's hard to see how anyone could make such a fundamental error if this was a genuine thread...subjecttocontract said:I'm totally amazed. You asked for advice.......you received plenty advising not to go ahead.
Then you decided to do it anyway. Why ?

An owner that cares for a dog is great news for the dog, a dog makes a fantastic pet for an owner, everyone loves a dog BUT they are terrible news for landlords letting property to a dog owner. I will always find a legitimate reason to refuse to let to a dog owner.

Personally would not accept.
A flat likely no garden and the dog will be disturbing other residents.

My lease (ground floor flat) will not allow pets. Even if I lived there myself I could not have one.
So I would have to say 'no' to anyone with a pet.0 -
I personally really dislike dogs, so not everyone...subjecttocontract said:An owner that cares for a dog is great news for the dog, a dog makes a fantastic pet for an owner, everyone loves a dog BUT they are terrible news for landlords letting property to a dog owner. Dog owners frequently think that I'd like their dog to leap up at me, lick me etc., just because they like it, it doesn't mean anyone else wishes to be subjected to this.3 -
The OP wanted answers that agreed with his thinking.1
