I signed the petition some time ago but today received a communication from the Government "petitions dept." - who knew there was such a thing - basically telling me I have wasted my time (presumably so has everyone else) and the petition is effectively closed.Nellymoser said:These may interest you even though you created a similar petition at Change.Org

@Nellymoser have you received it also?3 -

The Act can't be binned because it's already law. And that Act requires the SoS to lay before Parliament a statutory Code of Practice.LDast said:More importantly, what about the stalled Private Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019? Is that going to be "binned"?
It will be a different Secretary of State that ends up doing that. And yes, yet more delays are inevitable.
Let's see how Starmer & chums cope. It'll be a challenge to get this darn thing over the line and will certainly feel like more than two steps back, trying to educate a new Minister who will have already been 'got at' by PPC lobbying.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
