Transactional history

Hi
Are the banks obligated to give you a transaction history confirming which card was used and if a pin number was used. I am a POA on a family members account along with another family member. Looking at the account there has been a lot of expenditure and the account holder is saying he doesn't believe most of them are his. The other power of attorney who I suspect has used the account for his own gain is disputing this. How can I get proof who is responsible for the card transactions as I know the other POA has a card for the account. The bank has refused so far stating that they don't provide this as its a civil matter because the POA has authority. I just need to get to the bottom of this as I know the other POA has misued the account but I can't prove it. This is is causing major drama in the family

Assuming you are able to identify entries on the account & can produce receipts for items you gave bought or paid, ask the other POA to do the same.sandi79 said:Hi

What bank?
You can with Starling1 -
It's with Santander. The problem is the POA first stated that he used the card in error over 3 months and has not paid the money back, he is now disputing that he used the account at all and is blaming the account holder who is vulnerable and confused. I just wanted a list of transactions that the POA has spent on the card as that would be proof enough.0

The POA is disputing that he spent it, he first confessed it was him and now saying its not him and blaming the account holder. The only way to prove its him is to get a list of transactions associated to his card for the account. I just don't understand why myself and the account holder are being told this is not possible.badger09 said:

You could submit a SAR and see what you get, you might have to wade through a lot of irrelevant data to try to find the things that you're looking for though.1

Assuming you have the Santander app you can click on each transaction and it will give you last 4 digits of the card that was used for it. Does that give you what you need?0

I have the app and ot doesn't give me any card info. Just the transaction and dateplantation_2 said:Assuming you have the Santander app you can click on each transaction and it will give you last 4 digits of the card that was used for it. Does that give you what you need?0 -
You actually have to click on the transaction which then gives you the extra info (date payment made, date it cleared, spending category and last 4 digits of card usedsandi79 said:

If the account holder is not happy then he should revoke POA immediately, cancel the cards and have a new one issued3
