Just bl**dy ask them if you can have a different date/time as you're on holiday.Matt_22 said:I was thinking I'm unavailable that date as I'm on holiday abroad that week. I'm not sure if there would be any flexibility in the date? If not I'm happy to possibly speak in the future.
There's nothing wrong with holidays, just be honest about that.
They might say yes, or they might say no - but you won't know until you ask.4 -
Quite! And the longer OP dithers, when they already know the proposed date, the less efficient it makes them look.Emmia said:

They might say yes, or they might say no - but you won't know until you ask.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!3 -
And the OP cannot lose, given they have stated they cannot / will not cancel or return from their holiday to make the interview, the choices are:Marcon said:

They might say yes, or they might say no - but you won't know until you ask.- Just not respond and not attend the interview = no job
- Decline the interview = no job
- Request an alternative date because of a clash with a pre-arranged overseas holiday = might get job

Agree with the above, this isn't a situation at all and it happens a lot.
Tell them you're on a booked holiday, you can explain you can't reschedule it, but you are interested in the job and would they (please) consider alternative arrangements.
If they accept that they might offer another date. Problem solved.
If they don't, then you will have a choice to make - is the job worth the holiday. The outcome might mean you forego the job, but again problem solved.
Ultimately, it's up to you, it's your life. If you want the job fight for it or don't.
