Morning, just! Of course, OH being off means we are binge watching all the stuff we haven't seen normally, which means going to bed at stupid o clock. The recying bins have been emptied, there's a bit of Bin Gate going on round here, we've just changed to a different method and you wouldn't believe the incessant moaning on social media about it, i mean like ten plus posts every day about the same thing on the same community page. And all because people can't read leaflets and/or posts about how it was changing, couple with a short staffing problem..The best ones were moans about them not collecting something anymore when they never collected it in the first place... .People really really don't like change...I feel a venture out is on the cards today, I have stuff to donate, it's been in the car since before Christmas, and soft plastics to get rid of and I need some eggs and veg. It's very bracing again today, I tink the fire will be going on later on again. We haven't actually used that much wood this winter yet, only one side, when we're usually on our second delivery by now.Gers, good to hear of improvement...nanny, I like that, I usually forget to press 'play'
WW, what a nice freezer surprise
Izzy, I'm sorry but we're going to have to organise a countdown here, I keep forgetting how many days left,,:) Ruby, they are, you all are! SO, ever thought about offering to walk dogs? TA, it's not a failure if you're using things! Iris, have a nice meal out! Coxy, that's the curse of January, need ot eat the chocolates...Right, I'm off for my high protein brekkie [ cottage cheese omlette] and to bestir myself...wrap up, keep warm, blow some cobwebs away!

Afternoon All
I slept in a bit this morning although wasn't late for work. It's cold here today but fairly bright and dry.
My appointment was a complete failure yesterday - I got up early to leave in plenty of time to get to the hospital (which isn't too far away but I hadn't been there before), found parking was free which was good and went to reception. The lovely lady said they hadn't held a clinic for that department at that particular hospital for around 4 years! No idea how I was given that location. Someone phoned me a bit later apologising for the mix up and I now have an appointment next week at the local hospital.
Pleased to see the sick bay is slowly emptying - no more admissions thank you.
What's the magic number today Izzy?
Glad you could get out to the shops Gers.
Must get on with some work, take care. XX9 -
Afternoon everyone
Thanks for the sympathies regarding my Pip decision - I do feel quite p***ed off about it as I still feel just as ill as I have for almost 2 years now. I have done a morning shift at work today, thinking I could maybes get the job centre lady off my back, and I am just so exhausted after it. I'm aching all over and my head is pounding so much that I'm going for a lie down - and I did very little really while I was there - I sat and helped a little boy with jigsaws for a lot of the time. So I'll carry on with just my afternoons, which are manageable.
Hope everyone has a good day today. I'll maybes pop back later, after my nap x10 -
Hi everyone,
I didn't manage to post yesterday because I was Esther wrangling and I made sure my phone was firmly in my pocket. I have become a bit concerned that because she is a placid little thing, happy to bumble round on her own she is missing out a bit. We spent time playing with jigsaws and sorting things and generally had a good time. Unfortunately she had a very broken night last night coughing a lot but Laura took her to be checked out and she is all clear of infection, which after Steve's palaver was reassuring.
I've been reading Professor Tim Spector's book about food that is good for you so I am really trying to increase my plant based meals. Tonight I'm trying a new departure, I've always avoided meat substitutes but M and S have a new mince made of 10 different plants which I'm going to make a bolognaise sauce with. I've printed off some forms so that I can keep track of the recommended 30 plant based items in a week. The blood sugar of both me ad Steve has been creeping up so hopefully we can arrest that by being more mindful.
Coxy, I saw the publicity about the PO some years ago but mistakenly thought that all the people affected had been exonerated and compensated so it was a shock to see that wasn't the case. The drama is very shocking and Steve who used to work for ICL which was taken over by Fujitsu has been flabbergasted by the way they handled things.
Have a good day.

I didn't post yesterday. I went to SA - sorted donations.
Mr F took a trolley of stuff to the charity shop.
I did some sewing and made a card plus went back to SA to finish sorting textiles as the collector was booked for this morning. He collected 162 bags - a record for us.
Today friendship/lunch club restarted - we had yummy shepherds pie followed by apple pie & custard.
Cold here again.
I had a dreadful night coughing - may do a Covid test as I feel rough.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Another mad day so only just got around to posting. Was at (part time) job 8am - 2pm and since leaving have walked B-dog, made lunch for the next two days and dinner for tomorrow (and cleared up!). Just started mocking up a carrot shaped gift bag for my craft shop/stalls ( the mock up is pink and purple but I’m just testing the pattern) - looking forward to some checked and spotted orange carrots…….
