It's going to be a chilly day here, the temperature is just above 0° and that maybe the highest it reaches. Brrrr.Yesterday I enjoyed the last of the steak pie, not something I normally eat so lovely for a change. I made a large pot of lentil soup for lunches this week, the smell is very tempting so I'm looking forward to having it. In the afternoon my new gadget arrived, that gave me a happy hour sorting it out though it's actually very easy these days. My old one will go back to Apple as a trade in, they recycle a huge amount from old tech.Today I have some meds to collect and that's it. I'm coughing less and less, apart from one prolonged bout I wasn't too bad yesterday. I really hope that all those with various lurgies are on the mend too. It's a long haul. I've postponed my scheduled physio appointment as I've not been doing my exercises whilst ill. I'll get back onto them now. 😀DP1 - so sorry that you didn't win your appeal, it's a real kick in the teeth when you still feel so ill. X11

Morning all
Very cold and frosty here all the cars are covered in ice I’m very lucky in that I park under our car port as I get in first so no ice on mine. Off to collect Rob today and take him to work I have a small shop to do on the way home.
We did go out for our walk yesterday we were all very wrapped up but it was very bracing 🥶❄️ We stopped for a cup of tea which was very welcome and then walked back to the car everyone really enjoyed it, I’m so lucky with my people - they are a hardy adventurous lot !
Dinner tonight will be salmon roasted new potatoes and green beans, dd is working a late shift again so will eat at work.
DW has been put on again this morning as it didn’t clean things properly last night so that needs emptying later.
Glad the poorly ones seem to be on the mend x
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start nmlc
Nothing much happening.
Think I might go for a walk.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10 -
Morning folks. Brr another chilly one and the weatherman has just cheered me up (not!) by saying it's to get colder next week!!
I had an Ocado delivery booked for early doors and he arrived very very early doors! I was still eating my dippy egg and soldiers and nowhere was organised ready to put stuff away. I have a small confession too! My good intentions of not buying anything frozen went slightly awry as I needed to restock frozen berries, as my supplies were dwindling and they are a necessity! Otherwise I am being very strict with myself by eating from the freezers. I am using up all the bits and pieces, picky bits and leftovers first and then I will do yet another inventory of what's out there (and keep it up to date!)
After two slothful days I have got my arris in gear this morning and will make a start on neglected jobs next.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recuperating, sad and lonely. Take care all, keep warm and safe xx

Morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off nmlc.
The sun is shining here atm but it's cold.
I'm off out for lunch with friends today.
Hope everyone is keeping warm.10 -
Good morning everyone and thanks for the start @nmlc – enjoy your half day x
Very cold here and frost on the cars. Luckily no scraping for me as I take the bus!
Had a quiet evening and binged another couple of episodes of Fool Me Once on Netf!ix – a bit holey in places but very twisty turny.
Glad to see HMG is making decisions about the post office workers and that the awful woman at the top is handing back her gong – too right. That TV drama should win awards left right and centre for highlighting the issue IMHO.
Dinner tonight is chicken pilaf – another new SW recipe. Trouble is we have a mountain of biscuits and mince pies still, so all the good work goes to pot after dinner ooops. However I have a call with BFF planned for tonight so hopefully I can avoid snacking, we shall see….
Great to see App!e recycle the old tech @Gers and that you are happy with your new gadget! Glad that your cough is improving x
Great that you and your clients got out for the walk yesterday @RedRuby1231 x
Enjoy your walk @silver-oldie x
Have a lovely lunch with your friends @iris x
Hugs to all the poorlies x

Morning all, another cold day lies ahead. The DGC arrived yesterday but DGS wasn't feeling too good and he may a cold, well I hope he doesn't give it back to us as we're only just starting to get over ours 🤞. I know he wasn't feeling right because he refused a pudding 😱.
I have put the dw on this morning because I forgot to press "go" last night. There is some party food left over from yesterday to snack on and then we must get back to normal eating (dieting) as I fear the weight has piled on again but we need to eat up the last of the biscuits etc first. There is an empty drawer in the fridge freezer, only half the chest freezer is full and the fruit bowl is empty. I'll order some extra store cupboard stuff too as I want to make sure there is plenty in the house in case we get bad weather and can't get out, we usually get cut off if it snows.
Coxy I enjoyed Fool me once and the PO drama too. Hope you've settled into your new post and Miss Moanalot has calmed down.
Gers happy gadget playing day.
Take care all, keep warm
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Morning all, just realised I didn't post or even look yesterday, Sorry about the appeal dp1.I went in town to take my library books back. The refurbed library isnt open yet for a couple of weeks so they had a return bin in the foyer but not the scanner thingy. When I looked online I had a fine, got the date muddled. The lady minding the foyer said I had to go and pay at the museum shop, which I did but it took ages for the assistant to work out how to do it- she called for help, and the lady from downstairs came to rescue her! At least I know the books are gone from my account now. I'll wait until they're open again before I borrow more, plenty on my kindle anyway.Coxy we really enjoyed the P.O saga, it was horrendous for those poor people. Watching Fool me once now- don't tell me the endingTA, & Nan I'm using bits and bats from the freezers, doing quite well and crossing off in my notebook. Will it last past January, we'll see
Chicken pie for the men tonight, just chicken and veg for me I think.
Right better carry on, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)7
