Paypal accounts are linked to email accounts, and if Swagbucks sends money to a Paypal account with the same email address as a Swagbucks account, they have no need to know the actual name on the account.
They know the email address with metaphysical certainty.
You can have more than 1 e-mail address accepting payments to a paypal account and even if you couldn't the fact a paypal account is verified does not provide Swagbucks with cover under money laundering regs etc.
  • I believe the threshold in the UK for money laundering regs is  £1,000.
In the US, the threshold is $10,000.

Don't forget to submit your Swago before 8am tomorrow - if you've got as far as you are likely to, best to submit it now.

Tried ordering £5 paypal again and it has just arrived in my account. I assume someone at swagbucks pressed the wrong button!
  • My £5 has gone through with no problem.
  • After my £5 was refunded, I tried again with £25 and it's just come through. Hopefully we're all sorted now!
  • Anyone raised a ticket to get the Swagup refunded? Still waiting for a response from them...

I raised one but I lost a 100sb swagup (2nd place team, led by MollyR) and at least so far, they've only refunded 50sb which shows up in the ledger as UpBucks Miscellaneous.
They don't mention my swagup in their response, instead saying
    >  As a token of our appreciation for your patience and understanding during this time,
    > we’ve added some courtesy points to your account.

Ok, I only lost 50 SB and so far nothing. Anyhow, if they not refund I only need a few more SB to get me to a £10 payout and that's it for me with them anyway. Not going to waste more time with them.

EDIT: Swagbucks paid me the lost 50 SB now and they have been credited to my balance.
  • Seems it's widespread. I had a PayPal reward reversed. Used 1250SB for £10. Only 950 SB were credited back. I raised a ticket for the missing 300SB (SwagUps) and since then I have had 2 x 50SBs credited. So all in all they have taken back 200SB.
Last month they marked my SwagUps as expired before the time was up. I managed to get that reinstated. If they don't want to pay out don't run the team challenge...it's that simple!!!
