Seems unlikely that they'll be attracting many new customers in the current climate, but a small gesture to cost them some money might appeal!1

Agree how can they expect to attract new customers at this present moment , I reckon the opposite . Customers will leave when they can.eskbanker said:Seems unlikely that they'll be attracting many new customers in the current climate, but a small gesture to cost them some money might appeal!
Absolute disgrace what they have done.1 -
Would not touch any Post Office accounts with a barge pole, (nothing to do with the current scandal, although I guess that helps), just that their savings accounts are outsourced (Bank of Ireland??), who are largely incompetent and have zero customer care skills and you may find ytou can't access your account at some point....once bitten...

The PO savings accounts I had in the past proved a bit of a disaster. Terrible website, terrible procedures, terrible / non-existent CS. Nobody could pay me enough to ever open a savings account with them again. Plenty of fish in the pond, PO isn't needed here.

I won’t be putting my money anywhere near the Post Office after how it treated its sub-postmasters.2

So are you going to stop opening accounts with other institutions that require you to post applications and are going all online for statements.ShinyStarlight1 said:I won’t be putting my money anywhere near the Post Office after how it treated its sub-postmasters.

If you use Amazon are you going to refuse delivery of your parcel if delivered by the post officeRoyal Mail and the Post Office are two entirely separate companies. So no, I won't stop using postal accounts. But based on past experience with PO savings they would need to come up with something very special to tempt me into risking the hassle that dealing with their savings account services usually involves.4 -

One of my online savers was apparently still trying to take a direct debit from my current account a year after they stopped the direct debit option. I gave up trying to get them to put a stop to it.I thought their customer service was what Pompeydave1967 was referring to when they said "Absolute disgrace what they have done". Then it clicked.3

Thet do deliver items sent by Amazon and if it is not possible to deliver due to size you have to go to the post office to pick it up.Barkin said:The Post Office don't deliver parcels.
Royal Mail may have serperated but there is still some association as they use post office buildings and car parks
