Replacing a Virgin TV remote

Hi all
My elderly mum has broken her Virgin TV remote. Can a replacement one be bought in any shops such as Argos or Currys? I can see them available online or can order from Virgin but she needs a working TV today.
Failing that, is it possible to control her Virgin box from her standard TV remote? She has a Bush TV. I know it is possible to "merge" remotes in some instances but can't see anything in the instruction booklet.

Biggest problem for MiL was her being able to see all the various buttons (she couldn't really) and remember what each was for (no good at that either). I wish we had got her something like this where it would be one remote that (it says) will work for 3 devices. Not sure it it will work for her/you but it might be worth a try.
