If only FINAL REMINDER received, what's best response?

Hello Forumites. How should someone respond, if they only receive a FINAL REMINDER? Should they request to see the original PCN/NTK? Would the original PCN/NTK be null and void, given the 14 day serving of notice (POFA 2012) would have been exceeded?

Depends who it's from but try logging into wherever it says on the back of the letter that appeals can be sent to.  Some NTKs are called a Reminder!

If you can appeal then do it but ONLY after reading the NEWBIES thread.  No saying who was driving.

    Which PPC?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My initial response would be "why did I not receive the original PCN, is my address up-to-date on my V5C?"

Thanks for the reply. Le_Kirk, V5C is correct. Am guessing maybe a clerical error with PPC or lost in post.

Thanks for your reply. It's from Britannia Parking. Have read through NEWBIES. Couldn't find anything on 'Only received FINAL REMINDER' advice.

So appeal as normal, even though PCN wasn't received and thus 14 day notice to keeper would have expired?

There's nothing about reminders in the NEWBIES thread.  I was pointing you there to stop you ticking who was driving...

Aha! Ok. Thanks for getting me to have a look... just in case. Had already read the NEWBIES, after reading multiple threads and seeing yourself (and others) advise people to read NEWBIES first.

So, getting back to my issue. If a Reminder has been issued and it's all I got, it sits outside the POFA 2012 notice period (according to info on this forum). Should it be appealed on the basis that the reminder therefore doesn't comply with POFA?

Nope just send the Template Appeal.

Nope just send the Template Appeal.
To confirm, the template that starts like so:

'I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner....'?

If so, this mentions stuff about providing pictures, etc. Pictures are included on the PCN reminder I received as the keeper (although poor and probably easy to doctor). I might be answering my own question - should I to omit the paragraph mentioning providing proof with pictures? Or should the template be sent as is?

If you are sure you have seen all their pictures then of course you can leave that sentence out.

After all, it is your appeal. You can write what you like.

Interesting! I am unable to appeal. If I try and appeal, their website says, "Unfortunately you are unable to appeal this charge at this time." Is it possible they have ditched it, due to me querying them only sending a FINAL REMINDER?
