Suspect they might want a pay-out if you inherit a lot of money?

Keep a copy of that letter so that if, in the future, some or all of your accounts do get sold, you have evidence that the original creditors chose not to pursue them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I guess it's fairly good news anyway.1 -
Does anybody know if there is a difference between credit card debts defaulting and bank account debts defaulting?
Im still waiting for my 2 bank accounts to default but they just keep on calling me. Should I answer the phone and ask them to default me? Ive sent them the same letters saying that Im not able to pay with no chance of paying in the future. All of my credit cards defaulted last year.
One is a business account with Santander (£69 overdrawn) That account is connected with my £4500.00 bounce back loan. And the second one is Barclays Bank and I owe (£600 overdrawn)0 -
The business's account isn't consumer credit. Given the sum, it may be best just to pay it?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

They took the payment of £69 to pay the bounce back loan. If I pay it again, they will simply take it again as a bounce back loan payment. Im not sure what to do. I keep hoping they will hurry up and default the loan and account. I don't understand the difference with consumer credit. Ill have a look online.RAS said:The business's account isn't consumer credit. Given the sum, it may be best just to pay it?0 -
Can anyone on here please advise me what to do about my two bank accounts that still haven't defaulted me? All other credit cards have defaulted last year.0

Could you do a list of your debts now - lender, type of debt (card, loan, overdraft etc), rough balance with a note against each eg "bank says will no longer pursue", "defaulted not paying anything", "not defaulted"?0

Bank accounts always take longer to default, contact the banks and ask them to default you, lodge a complaint if necessary.Looking4silverlining said:Can anyone on here please advise me what to do about my two bank accounts that still haven't defaulted me?
