Credit card debts

Given your personal circumstances, you might want to consider asking for write off on grounds of reduced health and circumstances.
Perhaps not immediately but if you don't recover in a year or two?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -
I was going to say the same thing as RAS but they beat me too it.
"Thanks for making me feel better, I'm scared of bailiffs trying to take stuff from the people I stay with or just trying to hassle me or family etc".
Bailiffs don`t normally get involved in consumer credit debt, mostly private debts or council tax debts etc, what you see on the telly is well edited, and can be prevented by simply locking your doors.
You won`t have to deal with anything like that, its pure fantasy, just doesn't happen, if your circumstances warrant it, then petition them all to write off what you owe due to your ill health and circumstances.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I am currently finalising my paperwork as I am asking for write-offs, sending them a whole pile of paperwork including doctors letters, proof of carers allowance, photos of when I was flooded, my last years earnings and SOA etc etc.
Before I go and post it all off and spend a load of money on recorded post, can someone tell me this please.
The banks have closed accounts, some defaulted me and one has passed on to another bank now (Tescos transferred my account to Barclays) What should I do? Should I just send the paperwork to the original addresses? If Tescos are now merging with Barclays will they even get my letter? Moorcroft are involved now with nearly every one of my accounts. I guess I just ignore them.0 -

Well your question was about the banks, you write to whoever currently holds the balance on your account.
If Moorcroft are managing your other debts, then send copies of the relevant paperwork to them, they should pass it to their client for consideration.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. "Sending all that paperwork to a debt collector will see them return the account to their client post haste."
So Im just dealing with the banks. Its taken me a while to gather all the relevant paperwork so things have moved on since.
You told me to deal with the banks as they are the ones I owe money to?0 -
Ok, I understand why you are confused, I guess the advice was contradicting, although collectors are supposed to pass on requests like this, they don`t always do so, they may just respond with a generic "we have passed your account back to our client" and leave it at that.
But I will stand by what I have said most recently, send to whoever writes to you, but be prepared to send to the client bank also, hopefully Moorcroft will pass it all on, but usually they don`t want to get mixed up in disputes, however send it and see what happens.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Ive just sent it all off the the banks for now. It was a hell of a lot of printing and cost £40 to send off so Ill wait and see what comes back. If I don't hear much back Ill re print it all off and sent it all to Moorcroft. Maybe next time Moorcroft call me Ill mention that I have just sent a whole load of paperwork to the banks and see what they say?

Hi gang.
So Ive sent to the bank (who I owe the money to) all of my original letters, documents, proof of my position back then (when I got into the financial troubles) doctors letters, photographs, all sorts of things and my SOA too.
Funnily enough Barclaycard were the only to come back with 'Don't worry about it for now, lets see how you get on in the future"
Everyone else seems to have forwarded everything to Moorcroft (the debt collection company) and Moorcroft have sent me letters saying 'We have received your complaint"
Im confused by this as I didn't make a complaint really. I just explained that it was making me stressed so I wanted to sort it out and tell them my circumstances.
I asked them all for complete write offs but they have all asked me to get someone involved to help me.
Can someone explain why they think Ive made a complaint and should I just tell them Ive no money and stick to my guns or should I go and see someone at Debtchange?
I was thinking of paying £1 a month for a while.
