Domestic Wind Turbine
Comments
-
Several years ago I concluded that the payback on a domestic wind turbine was so long that I probably wouldn't be around to enjoy the benefit after the break even date.
This post briefly got me thinking about it again, but common sense has prevailed!!!
I could be wrong, but I also suspect smaller domestic wind turbines are probably not going to be maintenance free over their lifetime, with bearings and other rotating components failing well before any break even point.
Anecdotally, there are a few around our area that never appear to rotate, and/or are looking rather sorry for themselves.0
