    I've had a brief look at the installation instructions, and it appears to be as NFLO says.
    That analogue clock is 24VDC powered, and will also be 'switching' a similar (or lower) voltage in order to control the boiler. That isn't an issue in itself, but you do need to be aware of this, and not mix it with 'mains'.
    There is, I understand, also a 'mains' option for these controls, and the existing clock would need bypassing with a link, or left permanently on.
    But, too complex to go into in detail. I suggest that anyone DIYing this would need to be competent enough to read the manual, and work it out for themselves.
    But, it's standard stuff for a sparky.

    Thanks everyone for your advice. I am going to get a grown up in to sort it out. We are considering making the whole system smart with new radiator valves, which is well beyond my skill set.
