  • Oh a third update for the day- sorry! I have walked dog, beautiful sunshine outside and a wonderful warm day  makes me smile! I've paid the £25 in from TV sale, and transferred it all across to the mortgage right after. This month (aside from the savings which are always set to £300) I have put £136.96 across to the MOP through TT and PAD ..I have 6 days until our month resets. I was aiming for £194.47 which was my interest amount so I am a little short on that and not sure I can find £57.51 in 6 days  but I will carry on with my TT and see if I can get to £150 which seems quite achievable. Off to find a pen to colour another square in

I really can't wait! I have totally detached from the job now and don't have as much care about doing it properly if I'm being honest. I have been treated so badly over the last year I have been there that I am taking the attitude of the manager on which is not good at all. So roll on next week!
The food budget has surprised me this month, I didn't think it would be this low :hushed: however the kids and DP are moaning a bit as there is a lot of repetition in the meals. I said to them all though I don't have the mental space to try and plan and cook a different meal every day of the month right now. Some days I am really physically struggling to get through a shift at work after i have already done all the jobs in the house, walked the dog etc. But I have probably set myself up now as they eased off a bit when I said that, and next month when I quit they will be expecting gourmet menus with  several options no doubt

  • Morning all, I was feeling a bit fed up today when I got up. I'm not sure why, I think the rain and grey skies probably have something to do with it plus I didn't sleep well, my hip and the nerve pain I have are getting unbearable some nights. I have had a hot bath with epsom salts to ease the pain off this morning and I put a mask on, got some cucumber slices and just chilled out for a while. DP got irritated with me because I insist on staying at work until the holidays next week, saying they will probably mess up my wages and not pay me properly anyway. Someone left the other week and has issues with their pay so he may be right. I get paid this week though which will be a dead cert so that is one wage to go towards next month's budget which starts next week. And I get paid once in the Easter holidays which will also be a dead cert. I am planning on handing my notice in the minute that wage lands in my bank. So I then have two wages for next month which will be a usual month. So I am not really understanding why he was trying to make me feel bad for staying I thought I was trying to help with the budgeting because without my wage we will struggle. I know he gets upset when I am in pain but I have had this pain since long before I started this job, long before I met him even. Yes the job exacerbates it but it has also helped in getting me fitter and slimmer which meant the pain actually lessened because if you walk it off (literally) it really does help, so I am carrying on regardless. If I am in pain and sit for too long I seize up and it gets worse. I quit on my terms anyway  , not anyone else's no matter how much they are peeved at me.

He will probably be right in the fact they won't easily pay me my week in hand because the company has TUPE'd across from the other company, but that is why I was trying to manage when I left so we could still survive the month with two more pays. Sigh....miscommunications are not good.

Anyway, I feel slightly better after my hot bath and face mask and I found an old beauty wand in the cupboard the other day when I was cleaning so I used that on my face afterwards  I was coveting LaPlan's LED mask :joy: but I haven't the extra funds for that at the moment so when I found this I thought, let's use this seeing as though I bought it used it probably half a dozen times and then it got forgotten about at the back of a cupboard!

Today will have to be a NSD I am close to zero in my actual spending account, everything has been moved out to other pots which are looking nice and healthy but I don't want to touch them  I get paid any day now so will hold off, I've enough food in and everyone is warm and safe so I am happy with that - I do NOT need snacks and cakes and chocolate  (can you tell I was craving something sweet haha) In fact I might well go see if I can make a cake in a mo, I think I have ingredients in for it

I am in the middle of writing this and responding to a friend who is teaching people how to communicate with animals, I offered up my fussy little thing for a past life reading and she is asking all sorts of random questions about him  people would think me mad if they read half of my what5app conversations with friends haha. Right I will finish this off and go and check where the survey sites are at, some are due to pay me but some surveys are pending. I don't go on there very much I think it's a bit of a faff for a few quid but I did get lucky the other day on two sites so have almost a tenner on two ready to pay out soon

    Thanks for reading

Oh nice! That's a better haul than mine with the surveys. I still had £3 odd pending mind but I couldn't be bothered waiting for it 🤣

I was reading about bank switching on the newsletter I think it was ...I did wonder how much effort it was because I have standing orders set up and my bank is connected online etc and I just thought it a faff. But then if there is money being paid to do it 🤔 hmm it seems suddenly worth it ....

it is defiently worth doing it and you dont have to swap your main account! I wouldnt swap my main account for sure, unless I wasnt happy, but im with cahse and although they dont do the swap, they have been great and I like the caskback!!
So if you have a spare account you can use that, or open a current bank account with a bank that doesnt do the switches! and then switch from that. Some require direct debits, but not all do and you can set up 2 very small charity ones for a couple of pounds. Thne or course your partner can do it too!! double bubble!!
Ive just looked and there non I can do at the moment unfortunately. But DS1 could do the lloyds one, just need to get him 2 small DDs
