Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x

Still dark, damp and very wet underfoot lots of laying water, but drier day forecast. Air is cooler.
Dinner last night was fish, chips and beans/veg. Tonight we're having takeaway pizza.
List of jobs to do today. Some admin/telephone calls to make also.

Good morning nmic.
Thanks for starting.
Hope everyone is OK and hugs to that those who are struggling or poorly.
Supposed to be a brighter day later . Popping out to the library as didn't go on Wednesday. Might just call at the local knitting shop ( we are lucky to have one these days) Thinking of taking up knitting again. Eye sight is not up to much but wouldnt attempt anything complicated .Perhaps to the butchers on the way. Going to make a stew in the SC .
Then clean bedroom ,change and wash sheets. But first I must wash my hair,a job I hate doing.
I have succeeded in meditating for a short while each day since New Year and sleep has ( fingers crossed) improved.
Not an exciting day. But a peaceful and enjoyable one for everyone I hope. Especially the carers and ,those who have lost someone .

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another rubbish sleepless night for me after waking up at silly o'clock. WW it's good to hear mindfulness is helping you to sleep better and you have spurred me on to rummage for the book I got in The Works a couple of years ago. I had numerous attempts at reading it but what I was reading didn't sink in and it was relegated to the back of the bookcase. Perhaps it's time to try again.
It's back to the usual boring Friday Tidy for me. But only half a one as downstairs had a good going over when I took the decs down. So just the stairs and bedrooms.
It feels colder this morning but the forecast is better as far as rain is concerned. I hope you further south have not been affected by the bad flooding shown on the news. For once it hasn't been as bad up here.
Have a good day folks if you can. I hope all of you in the sick bay are soon on the mend and the a/b's are working for anyone who needed them. It sounds a particularly nasty bug that's doing the rounds. ((HUGS)) for all who need them and take care. I hate January. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning everyone and 'thank you' nmlc for starting us off.
It's a wet day here atm, but should dry up later in the day.
I am like you TA in that I don't sleep very well and nothing seems to help.
A friend is coming this morning for a 'catch up' and coffee.
January and February always seems long dark months.
Take care everyone. xx11 -

Way=hay, a dry day!! Greetings from Mehefinland.
The field is like a sponge and so squelchy, but the nags seem ok. Heart goes out to all those poor souls flooded after this biblical weather. Hope its not a sign of things to come.
No news as such, just same old, although extremely busy with community library refurbishment . Its being gutted in the next few weeks ands a complete internal refit ( got a grant) so lots of things to be done. The list doesn't seem to get any shorter!!
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all
Hope all those with lurgies can start to feel better soon.I’m off to Birmingham to visit an old silver factory (English Heritage) - only guided tours and only open a few days a month - should be interesting and will be swiftly followed by a stock up of some herbs and spices from the market (can’t get lime leaves anywhere!) and a mooch around some charity shops if there’s time and inclination.AA12 -
Morning - rained all night and still wet here - forecast to clear around 2 - was hoping to take stuff to the charity shop but need dry weather to carry it.
Washing machine on.
I will pop to SA soon with some bags for the food bank and to see if any donations have come in to sort - hope the recycling man has been and there is an empty hopper.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Morning All
So many poorly people here, hope you're all on the mend.
It was a bit foggy earlier but the forecast is for a decent day, I have the bedding in the WM and may hang it out for a while. The bed will be re-made in a bit.
I've had a good sort out of sewing and knitting stuff, made DGD a pair of pj bottoms and started knitting her a cardigan. I inherited a lot of knitting needles but have put a lot in the bin, can't believe there are so many odd ones - where do they go?
Nothing planned for today but may borrow friend's dog and go for a good walk.
Take care. XX12 -
Good morning everyone. Not a lot on the agenda for today, I will go out to do a little shopping and visit the bank and then maybe an afternoon of paperwork calls.
Fortunately we have not had the biblical amount of rain that some poor people have had. To see people who have been flooded numerous times is heartbreaking.
Hope that those of us with the dreaded lurgy are improving and those with difficulties can find some peace.
Take care xx13 -
Morning everyone
I had my Pip appeal tribunal yesterday, it lasted an hour and a half, by the time it was nearly done I was getting mixed up - they were asking me things like how many hours I'd worked in June 22 and I think I gave contradicting answers. I don't think I'll get an award but at least I tried. The last thing the judge said to me was to say how surprised he was that I'd managed to put paperclips in my piles of papers, when I'd said my hands are always painful. I replied that it had taken me 3 hours to go through everything. I'll get a letter in a week or so.
Anyways it was a day of two halves and the next half was a lot better. DD picked me up and we went to Newcastle to see Pinnocchio - it was hilarious and so much fun. Little one loved it especially when Pinnocchio's nose magically grew - I'm sure you can guess at the innuendos. The theatre was full, lots of adults without children as well as those with and it was just so funny. Just what I needed after my morning. Afterwards we went for a lovely tea and the home again - we played lots of silly word games in the car to keep little one awake, though I spy was a bit difficult in the dark!
Today I'm going down to mam and dads to do his banking and then I'll go along for a few bits I need and get the bus back up home. Little one is coming this afternoon and will stay overnight - DD needs to finish cleaning the old house so she can give the keys back. I'm expecting a musical afternoon with little one playing the keyboard I got for her birthday.
I'd best get on - hope everyone has a good day and the poorlies are feeling better x11
