Morning all
Much colder here this morning and there seems to be a frost on the cars much prefer that to rain though. Off to collect Rob today and take him to work we are in the cafe today so at least it will be warm.
Dinner tonight will be jacket potatoes with cheese ham or beans or a mixture of the above with salad, dd is working a late shift so she will eat there.
Wm is on and I will hang it on the airer before I go to work, day off tomorrow and I can’t wait for a lay in, it’s been very hard to get out of bed this week !
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning All
More rain, it's never ending! Washing was dried on the pulley then on the airer by the fire overnight, all folded and ready to be put away.
Lovely lunch out with a friend yesterday, she's doing really well with her new knee. I put her decorations back in the loft for her and moved a lamp - even hoovered round which is something I really need to do here!
Belated Happy Birthday to your little one dp1, sounds like she had a good day.
Hope your treatment works quickly Coxy.
Sorry to hear you have to have more tests Nanny.
Good to hear there's progress for your DS Topsy.
We're counting down with you Izzy!
Hugs to those still poorly - I had the lurgy a little while ago and must have had the cough and snot for a good 6 weeks.
Off for a swim soon, nothing else planned but will find something!
Take care. XX10 -
Morning all. Dull but dry so far but we have lots of lying water here as the River Ouzel has burst its banks so my usual route to town, through the meadow, is under at least 4ft of water. A flood warning did go out yesterday for houses bordering the river but luckily we're a bit further back.
Good day at the Larder yesterday and I must have come back with at least £20 worth of food for my weekly £3.50 membership. Not much fresh fruit and veg but the warehouse only reopened on Monday so that will soon change.
Today I have a dental appointment and I know I have a tricky filling to be redone so not looking forward to that. We'll have soup later as not sure I'll want to chew much!
Hope everyone's day goes well10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We currently have some blue sky and red patchy cloud. So anybody's guess what we will end up with!
We had a really good day out yesterday and the flooded fields on the way resembled the Lakes. We were very fortunate with the weather though, no wind, no rain and felt quite mild. A few intrepid stallholders had set up so we had a quick wander and a tour of the cs before heading off for lunch. One of the cs had everything reduced by 50% and I nabbed a couple of bargains. A Wallis cerise jacket and a Rohnisch (?) golfing style sweater. Both brand new, so my lucky day!
Today I must get back into some sort of routine with cleaning. Kitchen and bathroom first job. The wm is on the go and that will be festooning the upstairs when done.
Have a good day folks if you can. The poorlies list seems to be growing, I hope you are all soon on the mend. I was the whole of last January with a similar coughing bug which really wore me out. ((HUGS)) for all who need them. Take care all and stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all. I have packed my trolley ready to take bags of stuff to the charity shop.
Sunshine here but yellow weather warning for rain later.

Isn’t it nice to see the sunshine?!
Just off out with Barney-dog for a wander - most of our usual riverside routes are underwater/dangerous/inaccessible due to flooding so will have a stroll around some quiet lanes. We did walk along the canal yesterday but even that was very puddly!
Some decorations are now down and I’ll get the boxes out of the loft later so DF and DM can sort theirs.Craft work this afternoon and no other plans.Take care all

Good morning all
Thank you for the start nmlc
Thank you for all your suggestions regarding my roof. Made a few calls, hopefully someone will get back to me soon.
Dry at the moment so the wm is on, hopefully can get it on the line for an hour or two before rain ☔ later this afternoon.
Thinking of all the poorlies, hope you feel better soon
Take care

Hi everyone,
We're starting to get back to normal, Esben has left for nursery and Esther will be going in a few minutes, he was happy, she won't be, she's very mummy focussed atm. Then L and B will be going to a spa for a final holiday fling (they don't seem to quite have grasped the concept of saving every penny so they can move into their own home). I'm not grumbling because we love having them here but it was their stated intention and I haven't seen any evidence so far. They went to London to see the Bluey show, Esben enjoyed it but Laura said it was only 30 - 40 minutes long so a bit of a rip-off.
I went to the dentist for a new prescription for the toothpaste that doesn't make my mouth burn. He'd persuaded me to try a different one saying it was the same formula. Unfortunately it isn't and has warnings about allergens on it so I can't use it.
Today I must take down the decorations, it will probably take me all day, but I'll put on my audiobook otherwise the boredom will drive me mad.
Nanny, how frustrating, I hope you get some answers soon.
Dp1, I'll keep my fingers crossed that things go well with pip.
Coxy, take care, I'm sure we are all wincing at the thought, I hope you feel a bit better today.
Gers and everyone else with the lurgy, if the cough is lingering get it checked out, it turned into a chest infection for three of us here.
Izzy, I feel your excitement, keep counting.
Topsy, I'm glad Ds' injury is responding at last.
Sorry if I've missed anyone, have a good day.11 -
Good morning everyone. Well, it's not raining here and there are signs of a little bit of blue sky. Done some ironing this morning and getting ready to visit my SIL as she has a hospital appointment and needs help to get there. If it is still fine when I come home I may venture into the greenhouse to check on my over wintering plants. Hope the poorlies are improving and thoughts to those struggling with life.
Take care xx
