Just checking if anyone else is encountering the following problem:
•  I open MSE forums
•  I select a thread I’d like to read
•  the thread opens up about halfway down the first page, as though I have already read the first three or four posts previously.

(Conversely, if I select a thread that I have already read previously it takes me straight to the next post!)

When the site had the big update last year everything was working fine: this is a relatively new ‘problem’.

(I’m using an iPhone 12 with the latest operating system and accessing the web via Firefox).

It doesn’t happen with any other websites.

would've . . . could've . . . should've . . .

Thanks for comments so far. I did think it couldn’t just be me.

And yes, it is only a minor irritation.

Hi Teapot ... Yes ... I'm on a Windows 11 (21H2) laptop using Chrome and a similar thing happens to me occasionally.

Ah. Thanks for that @dealyboy. That’s useful to me because it tells me it’s not an iPhone or Firefox problem, which is what I’m using.
