How do you use Clubcard at Tesco Pay-at-pump?

Thanks, I'll try it that way this evening.

As far as I know the machine says to put your payment card in first, so I didn't think it would do anything before that, but I'll give it a go.

 iirc   ' insert or scan your clubcard or  insert payment card '  is the first  screen

I finally got it to work tonight. There was no queue so I had time to fiddle with it and it worked by holding the card MUCH, MUCH further away from the scanner than I'd have thought suitable.

It must have been nearly two feet away and two red laser beams finally converged on the card. Maybe they're just badly focused or something..

 In the shop I hold it right against the glass.

Do you mean that it asks you for the clubcard separately, even though your credit card is your clubcard?

Yes, but I only have the one card. It's like the one card is 2 cards.

From what I have red,

When it asks you to scan your clubcard , insert your credit card.

You should then be asked if you want to pay with that card, answer yes.
