How do you use Clubcard at Tesco Pay-at-pump?
Sorry if this is a daft question, but at what point in the process do you scan your card?
My local Tesco has no kiosk, just 6 pay-at-pump terminals and I never any clubcard points from there, although my card works fine in the supermarket itself.
When I use a self-checkout in-store, I scan each item, then scan my clubcard and finally tap my payment card. But in the pump, you have to put your payment card in first. Does that make a difference?
I'm sure I've tried it both ways multiple times, i.e.

- Payment card > scan clubcard (nothing happens) > fill up

I have a Tesco credit card which is also my clubcard, it asks for the clubcard first. Sometimes those scanners are difficult to use.0

Apparently older clubcards don't work with the barcode scanners. So you have to insert it like you do with a credit card.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. If it doesn't ask for the clubcard perhaps the software on the pumps needs to be fixed.0 -

So either the pumps are faulty (but they can't all be faulty) or there's some knack to using them that I haven't worked out yet.0 -
You have to scan club card first then insert payment card1

The ones at my tesco ask for the clubcard first- I press it on the screen.Hardly worth it for the points though, they were only doing 1 point for 2 litres last time I checked.Still, each point is a penny I suppose...I ping mine as it is more proof that I bought my fuel from there if there is a repeat of the 2007 debacle.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
