Good Afternoon one and all, been remiss of posting. Wishing everyone a good New Year for 2024.
I spent Christmas &New Year at my DM, enjoyed Christmas Dinner at my DD cooked by my lovely SIL. New years Day was my DM 80th Birthday so had a family get together at her house with party games and a buffet then went out for lunch on New Years Day.
DS2 is still non weight bearing on his left leg saw his consultant before Christmas who is happy the bone has grown but told him that it now needs to strengthen so a few more months yet then to start walking again, said it will be approx 10 months to get to his new normal.
I unfortunately ended up with the nasty cold that is doing the rounds. Drove back down home yesterday as I am due back to work on Friday. The idea was to get straight however just doing the basics.
Hugs to anyone that needs or wants one. Take Care.7

Hi allnmlc x Slightly warmer here today and the wind has died down but crikey there’s a lot of debris lying around on the pavements. I was awake at 5am with cystitis again, had I not been new in post I would be wrapped up at home today. I grabbed some OTC meds at lunchtime so have dosed up and hope it starts working soon. Had leftover veg chilli and couscous for lunch today plus some fruit, and dinner tonight is leftover cheese, pickles, crackers and charcuterie meats as I’m not wasting anything – food is just too expensive. We we’re hoping to go to the cinema tonight – One Life - but just don’t feel up to it. We have DS1s pooch from tomorrow for 10 days as he’s off to Mauritius with his ILs. We have been watching the ITV drama about the Post Office scandal. It’s very good – I love Toby Jones anyway. Just makes my blood boil about what happened to those poor folk. Hope you can get someone to look at the porch roof @silver-oldie, some good suggestions from other posters x Hope you can get things sorted for your DMum@RedRuby1231 x I can recall song lyrics from the 80’s @dp1 and @weenancyinamerica - many songs today don’t seem to have memorable lyrics, its just noise (wow that sounds so middle-aged) Enjoy your lunch out @TravellingAbuela x Sorry you’re still so poorly @Gers do take care xx Good to see you posting @Redcross – I have very little of interest to say, but it doesn’t stop me posting most days lol Sorry to hear of more tests needed @nannywindow and the disappointing Chinese food. Hope it tastes better second time around. Sorry to hear you’re poorly @bellabella and typical it’s when you have some free time to get on a do stuff. Hope you improve soon x Our decsAlwaysAllie – it’s definitely time and I want to have a really good clean around. Good to see you posting @topsyturphy and all good wishes to your son for his continued recovery xx Wow @Floss 6 weeks!! Hope the antibiotics help xx Great that folk are donating to SA but not that they leave items outside. So good that you are able to deal with them @Florenceem xx Have a good evening everyone, stay safe and well. Coxy11 - there is a clothes/shoes recycling bin outside my SA - it gets full really quickly so folk just leave bags of donations next to it. There was a hamper of Christmas food outside today that I rescued for the food bank.
