Hello all, I had a bad night as the dry cough has returned. The rain didn't stop yesterday and we had to go through 2 flooded roads to get to the hospital. I didn't get very far with my results and ended up having more tests, plus now I have to have an MRI then back for another appointment with the consultant, so I'm no further forward.
Today not a lot will be done as Mr Fix It is poorly too, so we'll just watch TV/computers. We had a Chinese takeaway last night but he couldn't taste it and I didn't enjoy it as it was not from our normal takeaway so there's plenty left over and we may try it again today, but I'm not sure yet.
Hugs to everyone today, there's lots of people with problems and illness on here.
Take care all

Morning all, thanks nmlc, hope your day back at work goes well. My DH moans too sometimes, I keep telling him he can't always have his favourites as there are others to consider, and challenged him to come up with new ideas as after 48 years wed, cooking almost 6/7 days a week, you do tend to rely on old favourites
Boy did it put some rain down in the night but I think it's stopped for now. I didn't do much yesterday, DH still sniffling but much better. He and DS2 have gone to check on the job they're on, so I have DGS unexpectedly. He came back from his hols on the East Yorkshire coast yesterday, and he got dropped off at DS2s, but he is going mid afternoon. His mum just msg'd to say they are going to a family birhday gathering. He's happy at the moment playing on the PlayStation.I'm taking the tree down shortly, did the rest of the decs yesterday but now they need putting back in the loft and I'll need help with that- the tree is heavy..I also want to strain the yogurt I made yesterday. No other plans- I had thought DGS and I could have gone to the cinema but it would be too much of a rush now he's going back early. There is a possibility we could go next Monday as he isn't back at school until Tues.My vague plan of having fish for tea went by the board as DH went to the chippy at lunch time. We had shepherds pie instead.Right better check on DGS. Get well soon poorlies. Well done on getting through yesterday S-Oldie. One step at a time to you and Redcross.X:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -

Morning all late one from me trying to help DS insure his new bike and deal with the insurers new demands all sorted now apparently .
I hope all have survived the high winds of yesterday without too much damage took DH 6 hours to get home from work a 30 min journey as the Dartford crossing was closed and the shopping centre xmas tree was in danger of falling necessitating the police and fire brigade so the whole area was at a standstill
Also seem to have hurt my back after sitting in the car for 3 hrs the other day its painful every step and is anyone else suffering with like a stomach upset its driving me mad every time i eat i am struggling with griping pains and trapped wind .
I dont have DGS for 3 weeks and had hoped to sort the house in peace but 1 week has already passed and i am getting frustrated with the situation .
Sorry for the moan but i just needed it off my chest
Dinner tonight DH can sort himself out ,I need to finish hoovering round but other than that not much going on .
Right have a good day one and all stay safe dry and warm xxSlava Ukraini11 -
It's currently not raining - cause for celebration. I live near the River Severn in N Worcestershire and the flooding is very bad, they are talking about record levels in some areas.
Anyhoo - managed to drop off parcels at two locations and a muddy dog walk plus some chores.
No plans other than entertaining some friends this afternoon and trying to gradually take down Christmas decorations - I don't like doing it all in one go as it looks so bare so tend to remove one thing at a time as I'm walking past. The tree and lights will stay another day or two.

Just popping on to say to those with the coughing lurgy, I went to my GP yesterday & was given antibiotics - she said I should start to feel better soon but it's likely that I will have the cough for up to 6 weeks 😳2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Afternoon everyone
Grey and drizzly here today, it was yesterday too. My house looked like a laundry as I had 2 sets of bedding to dry and some clothes. The towels can wait till Friday when we're forecast some sunshine.
We have a very excited FIVE year old! We all met up at my mam and dads this morning for her present opening - she kept saying 'I can't believe I'm really five!' We have no idea why she thinks being 5 is so much better than 4 but she's so happy! It's hard to believe she was that tiny little scrap five years ago...you could hardly see a baby for all the tubes and wires she was attached to. She's still ill a lot and has her tube in her tummy and her monitor on her arm, but I know her outcome could have been so much worse and she is such a happy little girl and finds such joy in everything.
She was delighted with all her presents and has four little girls going to her house for a unicorn party this afternoon. As part of her present DD and I bought us tickets for the pantomime at Newcastle tomorrow, it's Pinocchio and we'll go out for tea afterwards.
I also have my appeal tribunal for my PIP claim tomorrow morning, which I'm not looking forward to - I need to have a read through all my paperwork this afternoon and write down what I need to say.
Eldest DD got home yesterday about 4pm - she said she was soaked as it was pouring down when she got back to Nuremberg.
Hope everyone has a good day today x7 -
Mr F and I walked into town with 4 bags of donations for the charity shop. I walked ahead of Mr F on the way home - I like to march along and he can only take it slowly. There were 3 black sacks of donations outside the SA hall so I popped in to get them out of the elements. We are closed this week but the officer was there and breakfasts for rough sleepers had happened.
I got home and then set off again with a really heavy bag for a second charity shop - had to take Paracetamol when I got home. As I passed the SA again - there was a chap rifling through boxes outside the kitchen door - I told him that we are closed and sent him on his way. I popped in to see the officer - Amazo. had left parcels by the kitchen door - they may have disappeared if I hadn't gone by. Mr F has gone out again with more charity shop donations.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Florenceem maybe consider setting specific delivery days for Amazon when there is someone around so parcels aren't left outside.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Been back to SA again before the forecast rain - 8 bags of donations had been left outside so I sorted them.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
